NACC Directory User Guides and Tutorials
Introduction
The NACC Directory serves as the central contact database, functioning like a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, for everyone interacting with NACC. This includes Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) members, researchers on NACC-supported studies, and anyone who needs to submit or view data on the NACC Data Platform.
The NACC Directory is powered by REDCap, a secure, HIPAA-compliant database software, to manage user profiles, roles, and access permissions.
Who Should Be in the NACC Directory?
Anyone who interacts with NACC should be registered in the NACC Directory. This includes:
- ADRC members and staff, including Center Administrators.
- Individuals working on NACC-supported research studies (e.g., ALLFTD, CLARiTI, DLBC, DVCID, LEADS, VCOG).
- NACC Research Partners (NIAGADS, NCRAD, SCAN, LONI, etc.).
- ADRC Meeting Speakers, Presenters, and Collaborators.
- NACC Stakeholders (ADRC Program Directors and staff, NIA/NIH leadership).
- Anyone who needs to submit data, view data, or access NACC resources on the Data Platform.
This directory is not intended for general newsletter subscribers.
Workflows by Role: Center Administrators vs. Members
Current access levels and workflows are determined by the user's role:
-
Workflow 1: Center Administrators: Have elevated backend access to the NACC Directory REDCap project. This allows them to manage records, run reports, and assign or approve member permissions.
-
Workflow 2: ADRC and Non-ADRC Members: Do not have backend access to the NACC Directory. Instead, they access their individual Member Profile Survey via a personalized link to update their information and request permissions.
